The most practical cars on HPL Motors today

Posted on 11th November 2022

Practicality is something that everyone, at one point or another, needs. You might be a family that has outgrown your current car, or someone with a growing business that needs a trusty steed to ship goods.

Whatever your need, there’s a space-focused car for the job currently on HPL Motors. Today, we’re going to look at some of the best options for when practicality is a priority.

Volvo V90

There’s nothing quite like a large estate car for when space is required. Volvo has been one of the go-to estate car makers for decades and the V90 - its latest load-lugger - is easily its most accomplished to date.

The V90 is also packed with the latest safety technology, as well as helpful features like parking sensors, cruise control and heated front seats.

Kia Sportage

Kia completely changed the game when it introduced its 2017 Sportage, with this high-riding SUV bringing loads more technology and features than people had ever seen in a car from this South Korean firm.

Not only is the Sportage impressively spacious, but it’s also very refined and frugal, too. The rear seats can be folded flat to increase boot space, too.

Skoda Yeti

Skoda’s Yeti was something of an undercover hit. People loved its chunky, off-road-inspired styling, while the Yeti’s no-nonsense approach was refreshingly different to many of the other cars on the road at the time.

Today, the Yeti makes for an excellent used buy and a practical one at that. It has a generous 416 litres of boot space and you can easily expand that by sliding the rear seats forwards - they’re handily mounted on rails.

Nissan X-Trail

The Nissan X-Trail proved to be the funky, off-road-focused cousin to the more sensible Qashqai cousin. It makes for a very appealing used buy, not just because of the level of equipment it’s got as standard, but also because of its practicality.

There’s loads of space inside, with generous levels of legroom for those sitting in the back. It makes it a great option for those with kids who might be starting to get taller!

Seat Alhambra

Maybe seven seats are what you’re after? The Seat Alhambra could be right up your street. It’s a car that is sharply focused on practicality, with each one of those seats bringing generous levels of legroom. Even the rearmost row has plenty of space.

Plus, sliding side doors make accessibility a breeze and ensure that there won’t be any dinged doors when you’re parked in tighter spaces.
