Introduction

Audi has a wide and varied range of SUVs. Things range from the large Q8 at the height of the line-up, right the way down to the more compact Q2. However, the Q3 is a model that aims to bring a little bit of everything to the table. It’s still relatively small and easy to live with but brings more in the way of practicality than the Q2. It’s also one of the best used cars for sale in the UK.

As a result, it could be the ideal Audi SUV for all manner of people. Here, we’re going to take a little look through what the Q3 has to offer.

Exterior

The exterior design of the Q3 packs in some of Audi’s hallmark styling traits. There is, of course, the super-large front grille, which in many models is given a chrome trim for a more premium feel. Striking LED headlights feature at the rear, while equally sharp lights are fitted to the rear.

Plus, if you fancy an even more dynamic-looking version of the Q3, then there’s the coupe-like Q3 Sportback.

Interior

Audi has established a reputation for making rock-solid interiors and the Q3’s cabin is no exception. It’s all beautifully put together, with high-quality materials used throughout. There’s plenty of space, too, with those sitting up front given a clear and commanding view of the road ahead.

The rear seats are mounted on rails, too, which enables a more flexible approach to storage. For instance, you can slide them back to improve rear-seat legroom or move them forward to boost boot space. In fact, there are 530 litres of storage there as standard or 1,525 litres with the rear seats folded flat.

Technology

The 2018 model-year Q3 gets some of Audi’s latest technology, ensuring that it feels as cutting-edge as possible. All cars get the firm’s clever Virtual Cockpit system, which replaces the conventional dials ahead of the driver with high-definition screens that can be configured to show various types of information.

There’s a widescreen infotainment setup in the middle of the dashboard, too, which is where you’ll access all key navigation and media functions.

Engines

Variety is the name of the game when it comes to engine choices on the Q3, with a number of frugal yet punchy setups available. There are three petrol and two diesel engines on offer with the Q3, in fact, ranging in outputs from 148bhp right the way up to 227bhp. All are four-cylinder, turbocharged units, too.

There’s the option of either a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission, while Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive setup is thereon selected versions for drivers who’d like a little more traction for when the roads turn slippery.

Specifications

Four trim levels have been available on the Q3 - Technik, Sport, S line and Black Edition. All come with loads of equipment as standard, with even entry-level cars arriving equipped with luxuries such as 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and Audi’s pre-sense safety equipment suite.

Move up to popular S line trim and you’ll find extras added such as  19-inch alloy wheels, a full sporty exterior styling package and sport seats with the ‘S’ logo embossed on the headrests.
